The Central Registrar For Cooperative Societies Portal (CRCS), under the Ministry of Cooperation (GoI), has begun refunding Sahara Group investors in accordance with Supreme Court guidelines. It is to inform you that the Ministry has launched the mocrefund.crcs.gov.in Sahara Refund Portal so that investors can claim their refunds. the Sahara Refund Portal Registration is currently underway, and all Sahara Group investors can apply online for a refund, which will be credited to their bank account. If you have already registered, you must log in to the Sahara Refund Portal to check the status of your refund. Basic documents such as a bank account passbook, Aadhar card, Aadhar Linked Mobile Number, Deposit certificates, and Pan card is required to fill out the CRCS Sahara Refund Online Claim Form at mocrefund.crcs.gov.in. After completing the form, you should wait for the refunds to be initiated, which will occur after proper document verification. What exactly is the Sahara Refund Portal (CRCS)
According to the Supreme Court’s order dated March 29, 2023, the CRCS Sahara Refund Portal is an online platform created to process refunds for depositors of the four Sahara Group Co-operative Societies.
Who is eligible for a Sahara refund?
Genuine and legitimate depositors of the four Sahara Societies listed below are eligible for a refund through the CRCS Sahara Refund Portal:
- Humara India Credit Cooperative Society Limited, Kolkata
- Sahara Credit Cooperative Society Limited, Lucknow
- Saharayn Universal Multipurpose Society Limited, Bhopal
- Stars Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited, Hyderabad
Only claims filed online through the portal will be eligible for a refund.
The Depositors must have made deposits & have outstanding dues receivable before the following dates, for filing a claim request:
22nd March 2022 for:
a. Humara India Credit Cooperative Society Limited, Kolkata.
b. Sahara Credit Cooperative Society Limited, Lucknow.
c. Saharayan Universal Multipurpose Society Limited, Bhopal.
29th March 2023 for:
a. Stars Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited, Hyderabad.
A Step-by-Step Guide to Sahara Refund Portal Registration and Claims Process
Step 1: Sahara Refund Portal Depositor Registration
- Visit the Portal: Start by visiting the official Sahara Refund Portal at https://mocrefund.crcs.gov.in.
- Depositor Registration: On the homepage, locate and click on “Depositor Registration.”
- Fill in Details: Provide accurate information of the last 4 digits of your Aadhaar Card and the mobile number linked with Aadhaar.
- Verify OTP: Click “Get OTP” and enter the received OTP. Click “Verify OTP” to complete the mandatory registration.
Step 2: Depositor Login
- Visit the Portal: Return to the Sahara Refund Portal homepage.
- Depositor Login: Click on “Depositor Login” and enter the last 4 digits of your Aadhaar Card and the linked mobile number.
- Verify OTP: Click “Get OTP” and enter the received OTP. Click “Verify OTP” to access your account.
Step 3: Claim Request Form/ Application:
The Depositor Cannot Add further claims once the Claim Form is submitted. So Carefully Fill out All Deposit Account details in a Single Claim Request Form.
The Depositor must provide details of all deposits across all Sahara societies where the Depositor has outstanding dues receivable by individually adding all claim details in a single claim form. If the Depositor has multiple deposit accounts, he or she needs to fill out a single Claim Application Form for all of them. However, Depositors must scan and upload the original certificate of deposit (CD) or passbook individually for each account.
Documents required for the Claim Request Form/Application:
The Depositor should have

- Deposit Account No.
- Aadhaar-linked Mobile number (Mandatory)
- Deposit certificates/ Passbook
- PAN card (if the claim amount is Rs. 50,000/- and above) (Mandatory)
*PAN card is mandatory if the claim amount is Rs. 50,000/- and above, across all Sahara Societies.
-> Add the details of Every Deposit Certificate one by one and Upload the Deposit Certificate in PDF/JPEG/PNG/JPEG2 file format with less than 200kb.
Step 4: Download, attach a recent photograph, sign, and Upload
After verifying the claimed data, download and print the Claim Form. Attach your most recent photograph and sign across the photo and on the Form. Finally, scan the Claim Form, upload it, and submit it. if the claim amount is Rs. 50,000/- and above, Upload the PAN Card.

Sahara Refund FAQ
Yes, the Depositor must have an Aadhaar-linked mobile number and an Aadhaar seeded bank account to file a claim request on the Portal.
No, without an Aadhaar-seeded bank account, the depositor cannot file a Claim. The Aadhaar seeding will allow for the secure transfer of funds to the genuine depositor’s bank account.
Aadhaar seeded Bank account refers to a Bank Account that is linked or connected to the Aadhaar no. of the account holder.
Kindly visit UIDAI website link https://resident.uidai.gov.in/bank-mapper to check the status of Aadhaar seeding with Bank account.
The Depositor should attach following documents:
a. Deposit certificate/ Passbook
b. Claim Request Form
c. PAN Card (if claim amount is Rs. 50,000/- and above)
