SAN FRANCISCO: Instagram has confirmed that it will soon begin testing new ‘ultra-tall photos‘ in order to match its full-screen reels.
Verge reports that the app will add support for taller 9:16 ratio photos to help them fill the entire screen when scrolling through the feed.
With the new test set to begin within a week or two, the platform currently displays vertical images cropped to a 4:5 aspect ratio.
While the firm intends to highlight ultra-tall Photo Experience, it will not mandate it across the board.
